I couldn’t have been happier when Kate & Eoin asked me to be their Clonabreany House wedding photographer. The venue is in a beautiful part of Meath near Crossakiel. The house itself lovingly restored in 2009 to it’s former glory dating back to the late 18th century. It really is a stunning spot to get married and I couldn’t wait for the day since Kate & Eoin were spending the whole day there from prep to ceremony to reception.

Upon arriving, the room was bustling with nervous excitement and laughter. Kate, her mum and her bridesmaids were such a good laugh and it was so easy to capture their spirit , the joy and tears of it all.

Eoin and the lads mirrored the girls with the same amount of edgy nervousness as you can see in their animated enthusiastic faces during the group wedding photos.

The weather was rain, more of a drizzle, nothing to be concerned about and being an Irish wedding photographer it was nothing out of the ordinary but it did make for some excellent photos of a lady wearing plastic bags on her high heels. The wind also turned Eoin’s da’s umbrella inside out. Again a great moment, a good laugh captured.

The ceremony and reception itself had everyone in tears, including myself, I remember distinctly the warmhearted speech from Kate’s family about how difficult yet relieving that she found such a generous and kind family here in Ireland to share her life with.  Kate’s from the States. My wife is from the States too so I can very much relate to being in an international marriage and the joy and troubles it can bring.

All in all, an almighty day. Loved it all and thanks for letting me blog this guys!
