Here’s a November wedding, shot last year at Seafield Golf and Spa Hotel in Gorey, Wexford. The couple, Claire and Grant were unbelievably good craic. I had jokingly asked Claire how many bottles of wine she had to settle the nerves the night before and she said “three” with a big smile…actually, now that I think about it, I’m not too sure if she was joking![]()
They had the ceremony at the hotel which started at 2.30 so I was a bit worried that we wouldn’t have any natural light for shots outside later on. Thankfully, after what was a touching ceremony and some simple group photos, Grant’s brother, Colin, drove us straight to Ballymoney Beach where we managed to grab a few low light shots. I then brought out the detail in good ol’ photoshop. Even though I was freezing, Claire apparently didn’t feel the cold and didn’t seem to mind the sand on her dress. Good thing too as there was a fierce cold wind blowing it everywhere.
After about 15 mins of beach photos, we drove back to the hotel to take more photos. Claire works at the hotel so we were allowed into areas not normally available to photographers, hence both the corridor shotsand the sparkly bead photo was taken in the spa.
Have a look at the photos of Claire & Grant walking into the banquet for dinner, note the little boy who narrowly misses them as he jumps pass them![]()
